The new free satellite TV service PremiumFree TV will open 18 channels on May 1.

The bouquet of PremiumFree TV will contain a range of content from sports and movies to novels, children's content, actual content, drama series, gospels, comedy and reality shows.

It can be accessed through DStv and Openview decoders, as well as universal or universal free air set-top box decoders and satellite antennas.

AfricaXP launched PremiumFree TV in Nigeria and Ghana in West Africa at the end of 2018, with 13 TV channels as free satellite TV products, and after obtaining Intelsat IS20 transponder space, it brought its multi-channel broadcasting to sub-Saharan Africa.

He said: "All of this arrives instantly for us, and the audience does not need any additional equipment or costs."

People with Openview or DStv do not need a new or additional decoder to watch PremiumFree TV.

"After years of stagnation in the African TV market, due to the frequent failure of new pay TV plans, Intelsat decided to seek AfricaXP as a partner and assign one of the few available transponders on IS20 to PremiumFree TV. This is a clear decision. Full of confidence in the PremiumFree TV project."

"Intel Satellite firmly believes that free multi-channel free TV via satellite will play an important role in the future of the African TV market."

Christelle Meyer, Intelsat Senior Account Director, said: "Many countries that deal with economic differences or sparse populations are striving to make fiber and mobile broadband play a role as a universal media distribution technology. Satellites will play a vital role in delivering rich media content to all parts of the world. The role of the future. The continent of the future."

Craig Kelly said: "It is really exciting to be able to provide compelling multi-channel sales bouquets for such a large and underserved market." It is essential that market segments provide value to stimulate the market."

"A strong media industry is symbiotic to the entire ecosystem. A strong free live broadcast can promote the popularization of TV sets, stimulate content development and develop viewing habits, thereby attracting advertisers. We hope to contribute to the stimulus activities and enable all participants To benefit."

Any universal or "universal" free Mpeg4 DVB-S decoder used by eMedia Holdings’ Openview and MultiChoice’s DStv connected to the IS20 transponder’s satellite dish antenna will also receive PremiumFree TV.

What does it mean? This means that almost all new and now available decoders may work-it does not require a smart card slot or embedding any encryption system. The PremiumFree TV channels are free and will remain so.

In a family, you can also watch PremiumFree TV on more than one device. The installation program can provide an LNB splitter so that multiple decoders can be connected to the same disc. The HDMI splitter can also enable the family to have multiple feeds from the same decoder.

Although DSTV’s MultiChoice and Openview’s eMedia investments only include its TV channels in the Electronic Service Guide (EPG) of its decoders, there are still ways to manually scan PremiumFree TV channels on these decoders and set-top boxes.

However, updates sent to the decoder from these service providers may delete these settings. The company said that PremiumFree TV channel transmissions are not encrypted, and other operators can choose to include such services in their EPG.

They scan the decoder or use PremiumFree TV parameters and then you will find the channel.

If the DStv Explora decoder is connected, you also need to look at the plastic LNB in the middle of the satellite antenna and swap the cable from the original smart LNB connector to another universal LNB connector. PremiumFree TV said that any satellite antenna installation program can assist with this switch.

Intelsat IS20 coordinates are FEC: 3/4, frequency is 12682 (MHZ), symbol rate is 27500, horizontal polarity, and transponder code EF36K.
