Black Box, a global information technology solution provider, has launched six new KVX series KVM extender kits, each of which can control a remote server or computer from a local workstation with one or two screens.

Black box: six new KVX series KVM extender kits have been introduced

The plug-and-play KVX extension kit can not only extend KVM signals to a distance of 328 feet (100 meters) through CatX cables, but also extend to a distance of 18.6 miles (30 kilometers) through optical fibers through SFP connectors. It also allows users to Remotely connect the monitor to the local monitoring location.

"The new KVX series extender kit is very suitable for budget-conscious users who want to provide a plug-and-play KVM solution for workspaces with one or two screens," said John Hickey, Senior Director of Black Box KVM and R&D. These extension kits provide convenient and reliable access and control to remote and rear rack servers or PCs, reducing noise and confusion in the work environment, and simplifying the management and monitoring of remote systems. The setup is quick and simple: the user only needs to connect the transmitter unit to the computer, connect the receiver unit to the screen and peripherals, and then use the network cable to connect the two units. "

The new KVX extender kit has prices and features that can meet design, graphics and video production, and software development requirements. Due to location, environment or security measures, users are allowed to control remote or physically inaccessible systems. They are convenient solutions for office connection, server management, remote monitoring, process control or medical and industrial equipment control.

The black box will release three copper cables and three optical KVX series extender kits to support DVI, 4K HDMI and 4K DisplayPort connections. DVI KVX models support 1920x1200 and old VGA ports for 60Hz video through an adapter. DisplayPort KVX models support up to 3840x2160 at 30Hz UHD video. The company will also launch a new dual-head KVM extender that includes a DisplayPort/HDMI hybrid input to support dual HDMI displays with 3840x2160 Hz UHD video. EDID emulation supports different resolutions and eliminates display compatibility issues.

Copper cable kits (KVXLC-200, KVXLCH-200, KVXLCHDP-200) can make remote computer access up to 330 feet (100 meters), while fiber optic kits (KVXLCF-200, KVXLCHF-200, KVXLCHDPF-100) can be convenient Remote computer access. The maximum distance using SFP modules is 18.6 miles (30 kilometers). In addition to the expansion of USB 2.0, analog stereo audio (speakers and microphones) and serial signals, all six extender kits also have two additional video ports on the transmitter, allowing monitoring of computers in data centers or computer rooms. Each KVX series extender kit includes a PC connection cable.
