The 39.7-inch 21:9 display output is 5120 x 2160 (essentially a wider version of the 16:9 4k display), and the color accuracy is amazing. It has been calibrated to 99% sRGB, 98% DCI-P3 and average delta-E <2 when it leaves the factory. The panel can display 10-bit color depth, in line with HDR10 (300 cd/m2 brightness), and the 2500R curve helps to make the corners point to the user. Lenovo said that even with the "natural low blue light" mode, the panel can maintain color accuracy, but did not explain how to achieve it.

The video input options are Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4. The same downstream connection joins the Thunderbolt 4 input for an efficient monitor daisy chain. 40 Gbps bandwidth allows 75 Hz refresh rate (4 – 6 ms response time), and multiple output connections, such as 3.5 mm audio, 1 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet, 4 USB3.2 Type-A, 1 USB3.2 Type- C, and provide up to 100W lightning output power.

Finally, the P40w has an eKVM that allows you to switch between two connected PCs or display their output side by side without the need for additional drivers. Classic examples (such as developers being able to use physical hardware for coding and testing at the same time) are still valid. However, a more topical example would be screen sharing through a video conference on a presentation meeting PC, knowing that there is no way to accidentally select the wrong window and display private documents on other PCs. eKVM also supports Wake on LAN through S3 (sleep), S4 (hibernation) and S5 (PC off, display standby) modes.

Lenovo ThinkVision P40w US version will be launched in June 2021, the price is 1,699 US dollars
