tagsHdmi 2.1 Matrix Switch

XTENDEX® HDMI Gigabit IP Extender uses CAT5e/6/7 cables to broadcast HDMI video and audio signals to one or more receivers (up to 393 feet), supports HDTV resolutions up to 1080p and 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections . The device has an infrared remote control function and can be plug-and-play installed. Equipped with a built-in EDID meter, this product is suitable for digital signage applications. The extender consists of a local unit connected to the HDMI source and the remote unit.

Network Technology Corporation (NTI) today announced the addition of the XTENDEX® low-cost HDMI Gigabit IP extender with IR and Power over Ethernet (POE) to its popular line of video/audio extenders. It uses a CAT5e/6/7 cable to broadcast HDMI video and audio signals over a gigabit network to one or more receivers up to 393 feet (120 meters) away.

Each ST-IPHD-POELC extender includes a local unit connected to an HDMI source and a remote unit connected to an HDMI display. Local and remote units can be connected together for point-to-point connection via CATx cables, or point-to-multiple connections via network switches. A network switch can be used to connect up to 253 remote units to a local unit to achieve "point-to-many" connections.

Plug-and-play installation allows the receiver to automatically find the transmitter on the same subnet, making it easy to set up. Users can access the web interface to update the firmware. When using a network switch that supports Power over Ethernet, the local or remote unit does not require power.

The low-cost IP over HDMI extender supports HDTV resolution to 1080p, complies with HDCP, has a built-in EDID meter, and supports 10/100/1000 Ethernet connections. It can broadcast real-time HDMI video/audio to multiple display positions, so it provides an ideal solution for digital signage applications. The device can use the existing source remote control to perform complete infrared remote (IR) control of the HDMI source of the remote HDTV.

The ST-IPHD-POELC local and remote device is priced at US$260, while the ST-IPHD-R-POELC remote device is priced at US$135 per set and is available for immediate sale.
